Mental Health Worker/LPN Per Diem Behavioral Health
This position may be filled as either an LPN or a Mental Health Worker I.
Administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires a current Pennsylvania LPN license, BLS.
Mental Health Worker:
Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients and helps patients with daily living. Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit. Takes vital signs, weighs patients and collects routine specimens. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor. Requires: Bachelor's degree mental health related field, 1 year experience, and BLS.
