Position Summary:

Assists in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station and the telemetry room by performing clerical and receptionist duties, monitoring of telemetry patients and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Qualifications:

Years of Related Experience

• Minimum: 0-1 years
• Preferred: 2-4 years

Licensure / Certification / Education (Required):

• Education: High School Graduate/Equivalent
• EKG Interpretation/Dysrhythmia Course (within 90 days of hire date)

Licensure / Certification /Education (Preferred):

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Education: Technical School/1 Year College

Specialized Skills (Required):

• Basic Computer skills
• Basic Dysrhythmia Class
• Experience as a secretary in the health care field or formal secretary course

Specialized Skills (Preferred):

• Medical Terminology Class
• Experience in Cardiac Rhythm interpretation
