Position Summary

Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures consistently producing examinations of diagnostic quality. Attends to the needs of the patients and assists the Magnetic Resonance Supervisor in all duties related to the operation of the Magnetic Resonance Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware.
  • Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.
  • It relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Typically, reports to a chief technologist or manager.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Program of Radiologic Technology
  • Current FL General Radiographer License
  • ARRT registered in MRI
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Knowledge of Cross Sectional Anatomy and basic understanding of Physiology
