Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Occupational Health, to provide injury care, and perform various types of physical and medical surveillance exams for work-related exposures. The NP will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Direct care of Clinic patients, including physicals, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, DOT and medical surveillance exams, as well as review of diagnostic tests
- Plan appropriate therapeutic measures and make medical clearance determinations
- Work closely with the Manager, Clinic Operations and Health Medical Director
- Provide input and task-oriented focus to clinic operations, as needed
- Ensure compliance with government regulatory programs
- Ensure that client-specific forms, and other required documents, are completed, as needed
Job Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Massachusetts
- 2+ years' experience in a clinical discipline
- Experience in occupational health, outpatient, urgent care, or emergency department setting
- Experience treating injured employees
- Proven ability to deliver patient care without a physician present
- Excellent clinical, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience:
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certification (if not currently certified, must be willing to become certified);
- Certification in Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
- Spirometry preferred
