Position Summary:
Exciting opportunity for a Surgical Scrub Tech/LPN to receive training in maternal/child care and be a part of a busy childbirth team. We will train you to assist in the OR with cesarean sections, stock and order, enter birth certificates, do hearing screening and other cares for newborn babies, and many other tasks. This is a position with a lot of autonomy and responsibility, and we are seeking just the right person to join our team. Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients. Functions as a member of the surgical team to scrub or second assist.

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):

  1. Education 1: High School Graduate/Equivalent
  2. American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR (BLS)

List any license, certification or education preferred for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)
  1. Current/Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA)
  2. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Specialized Skills (Required):
List the minimum specific knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job (e.g., homecare exp., med/surg exp., basic accounting principles/practices, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)
    Specialized Skills (Preferred):
    List any preferred knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job.
    1. Previous experience as a surgical Tech
    2. Prior acute care experience preferred
    3. Successful completion of approved program or equivalent on the job training.
