Job Summary:

Responsible to the Medical Imaging Department for the day-to-day operations which provide high quality cost-effective, patient care. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Responsibilities and Major Duties:

  1. Initiates and implements department plans.
  2. Organizes resources to implement department plans.
  3. Directs workforce to accomplish daily services.
  4. Manages performance improvement program for the department.
  5. Assures compliance with regulatory agency standards.
  6. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with outside agencies, medical staff, and other departments to improve service and enhance quality.
  7. Determines qualifications and competence of department personnel.
  8. Completes performance appraisals on time based on policy.
  9. Responsible for the interdepartmental schedules for employees
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience as a manager preferred.
  • Requires up to five years’ experience on this or related jobs in a hospital or healthcare facility to develop the judgement necessary to make appropriate decisions and to handle emergency situations
  • Certification in radiologic technology by ARRT or equivalent licensure required. Current Pennsylvania license by the Pennsylvania Department of Health required.
