Emergency Services Department – Paramedic
Saint Anne’s Hospital’s Emergency Room Department, is a 13,000-square-foot facility opened in 2011, it offers advanced technology and 24-hour rapid medical evaluation and emergency care. Some amenities include: 27 all-private rooms with bedside registration, TVs, and family seating. Six-room private and secure behavioral health suite. 24-hour orthopedic coverage. Job Summary: Under the supervision of an RN assists in emergent life threatening intervention; patient examination, and treatment in the emergency department. Administers EKG’s, and assists with procedures. In addition, assists with the preparation and maintenance of the working environment. Initiates IV placement and cardiac monitoring for transport.
Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of a Paramedic program.
Minimum Work Experience: Three years of field related work as an EMT-P/EMT-1.
Equipment/Software/Certification: Current EMT-1 or EMT-P registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Basic computer literacy.
