Part Time Chest Pain Coordinator Days
The CV Data Abstractor/Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for abstracting a large volume of clinical case records within published deadlines for reporting to The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) and other national registries as required in support of business objectives and in compliance with regulatory standards. Superior communication skills. Able to discuss complex procedures with physicians and change practice habits based on evidence based medicine. Educate staff to ensure charting compliance with national registries. Communicate registry outcomes in the department meetings. Support the mission and vision of the Heart Institute.

The Chest Pain Coordinator, under the direction of the Cardiology Service Line Director shares responsibility for administering all aspects of the Chest Pain Accreditation Program. The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for formulating long and short term strategies to ensure that the mission and vision of Rockledge Regional Medical Center are carried out through the delivery of high quality cost-effective patient care for all patients within the cardiology program.
The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all chest pain standards are met as required by the Joint Commission and that the standardized measure sets for cardiac care are met for all patients.
The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for tracking our results on the NCDR PCI registry and developing strategies to ensure we are in the green for all elements.
The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for program development, planning, organizing, implementation, assessment, patient flow and performance improvement of the cardiology program.
The Program Coordinator is also responsible for the utilization, community outreach, patient advocacy, staff and physician education within the program.
The Coordinator is also responsible for ongoing patient tracking, concurrent and retrospective chart abstracting and data entry for performance monitoring, as well as completion of diagnoses in conjunction with Coding Department.
The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for the development of a long term approach with the goal of reaching an uneventful and successful progression for the patient from admission, through medical management and/or surgery, the inpatient stay and post-operative/discharge follow-up care to ensure that the patient had the perfect patient experience and always putting the health, safety and customer service of the patient first.
RN with at least 2 years cardiac experience.
RN license required, BSN preferred.
Superior communication skills.
