Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units; cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary: FT 40 hours, Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-11pm shifts, Every Other Weekend.


Individually executes assigned patient access “core” role (“core role” includes patient access coordinator, scheduler, insurance auth specialist, or financial counselor roles) and directs / monitors the patient access operations for assigned shift / group of employees on a daily basis as directed by manager.


  • Individually executes all responsibilities outlined in “Core” Radiology Intake Coordinator role, including but not limited to quality, collections, customer service, screening/solution rates, and productivity.
  • Monitors and directs the timely, effective execution of radiology intake operations daily for shift / individuals as assigned by Radiology Intake manager or director.
  • Identifies operational issues / challenges, raises them to department manager / director, and works with manager / director to resolve.
  • Provides summary of assigned group’s / shift’s operating results at end of shift to manager / director in accordance with department leadership’s established operating metrics.
  • Assists manager with staff evaluations by providing input on individuals the Lead has monitored / directed as part of the Lead’s shift monitoring / directing activities.
  • Supports training program for new employees by coaching assigned new employees on radiology intake SOPs (standard operating procedures), workflows, systems / supporting technologies and tools, and performance standards.
  • Supports execution of performance improvement initiatives within the department or with other hospital departments.
  • Is “on call” as required.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in healthcare preferred.
  • Previous Health Care and/or Insurance experience required. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a hospital/clinic/physician office or related field.
  • Proven expertise with patient access tools, systems, and technologies.
  • Excellent customer service/communications skills.
  • Proven expertise in collection processes and securing solutions for uninsured patients (excludes scheduling “core” roles).
  • Proven knowledge Medical Terminology.
  • Exhibited ability to work as part of a team. Exhibits team-building skills.
