POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing and reconciliation activities for 1,000 plus employees. Assists with year-end, testing, and other payroll processing and system related projects as required. Handles garnishment and child support processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles processing responsibilities for bi-weekly payrolls
  • Performs bi-weekly payroll reconciliation and balancing activities
  • Serves as support for research and reconciliation of payroll related GL issues
  • Researches and resolves HR/Payroll related issues
  • Provides payroll processing testing support, as needed
  • Creates and maintains documentation for all payroll processes
  • Provides customer service and technical support to HR/Payroll facility primes
  • Provides support for year end and W-2 processing
  • Coordinates special projects as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • HR/Payroll technical, multi-state payroll processing, and analytical experience
  • Prior experience working with Lawson payroll system
  • Prior experience working with API timekeeping system
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Detail orientated with good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good training and documentation skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:

  • Education: College degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience (Type & Length): 3-5 years of HR/Payroll experience
  • Certification/Licensure: CPP certification preferred
