Pharmacy Intern Per Diem Flexible Shifts
Assists in the preparation, packaging, delivering and charging of medication orders, under the supervision of the pharmacist. Processes new medication orders as well as discharges and transfers. Assists in training of new technical personnel. Responsible for stocking medications and inventory management. Involved with Pharmacy quality assurance activities and assists the pharmacists as needed. Prepares and delivers IV sterile products under the supervision of the pharmacist. Performs clinical assignments as required by the College of Pharmacy and/or preceptor. Assists in clinical duties as assigned. Reports to Pharmacy Supervisor.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities):
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Good organizational skills preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
Current Florida Pharmacist Intern licensure required.
Actively enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program OR actively pursuing completion of Foreign Graduate requirements to become a Registered Pharmacist as set forth by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
Registered Pharmacist licensure status completion within 5 years.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
