Full Time 40 Hours
Shift: Days 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
Maintains a clean, neat and organized work area. Maintains proper stock levels of drugs, supplies, solutions, forms etc.
Selects correct doses of medications and places medications in patients bins according to the patient's medication profile. Returns discharge medications to correct location in a timely manner. Prepares, labels and delivers I.V. preparations according to departmental policies and within established time frames. Responsible for accurate filling of Pyxis machines, placing medication in the correct location in a neat, precise manner without overfilling the pocket.
Maintains Pharmacy Technician Certification.
Is able to satisfactorily perform all duties and responsibilities required of the pharmacy technician.
Pharmacy technician registration, equivalent work experience, student actively enrolled in a pharmacy technician program, or student actively enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy. If not already registered, upon reaching the maximum of 1000 hours as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be required to obtain registration. National Technician Certification preferred and expected within three years in position.
