Job Duties:

  • Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for lab analysis. May prick finger to draw blood.
  • May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at the blood bank.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision. Typically, report to a supervisor or manager.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Phlebotomy Certification and/or Equivalent (preferred)
  • Phlebotomy Training Program (preferred)
  • CPR required
  • One Year Minimum experience (preferred)
  • Background Clearances (as required by law)
