Under the Radiologist or other physician’s supervision the Radiologic Technologist fulfills the responsibilities necessary in the use of radiography, integrates scientific knowledge, and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in Radiographic positioning and exposure technique. Radiologic Technologists prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate Radiographic examinations. The technologist will provide patient first service with consideration to safety and operating under the guidance of management and/or established facility policies and procedures to provide an excellent patient experience. Addressing and resolving customer service, communication, efficiency, and safety issues with a high degree of professionalism, without bias, and acting in good faith with the goal of establishing an appropriate, effective, safe, and consistently applied resolution to these matters. Will serve our patient population with a commitment to cooperate, collaborate, working inclusively with all necessary team members (regardless of background) with other team members across modalities within imaging as well as across all departments within the organization. Meets the expectation to engage in cost reduction, expense management, and effective use of supplies and equipment. Discontinue use and report any malfunctioning equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of Radiologic Sciences program
ARRT ( R ) or Registry Eligible
Florida State License - General Radiographer
CPR Basic Life Support (BLS)
