REFERRAL COORDINATOR - PAIN MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
Job Summary: The Pain Management Referral Coordinator is responsible for providing excellent customer service to community physicians referring their patients to the Steward Centers for Pain Management at SAH Norwood and HF hospital. Functions independently under general supervision. Responsible for call processing related to all activities of the physician referral call center. Services offered include, but are not limited to assisting referring physicians with appropriate referral information, facilitating the scheduling of appointments, providing referring physicians with communications regarding the referral and appointment status. Devotes his/her time to processing inbound and outbound calls, ensuring reciprocal communication with community physicians and maintaining the referring physician database. Ability to take initiative, use independent judgment and troubleshoot when issues or difficult situations arise, takes independent action to resolve and escalates appropriately.
Minimum Education Requirements: : Associates Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required
Minimum Work Experience: Minimum of three years of full-time equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
Other skills and abilities: Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with databases. Highly organized with strong customer service skills, problem solving skills and adaptable to changing situations.
