REGISTERED NURSE – Emergency Services Department

Saint Anne’s Hospital’s Emergency Room Department, is a 13,000-square-foot facility opened in 2011, it offers advanced technology and 24-hour rapid medical evaluation and emergency care. Some amenities include: 27 all-private rooms with bedside registration, TVs, and family seating. Six-room private and secure behavioral health suite. 24-hour orthopedic coverage. Real-time TeleStroke® and Arctic Sun® for stroke and cardiac patient expertise. State-of-the-art integrated computer systems, and much more.

Job Summary

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process within assigned work periods. They function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care. The RN participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes.

Minimum Education Requirements: Associate’s degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.

Minimum Experience: For specialty areas, related experience and qualifications may be required.

Other skills and abilities: Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral and biological sciences normally acquired via approved nursing program. Able to provide age and culturally specific care to the population served. Ability to analyze data, to synthesize and summarize information and to make judgements regarding patient care.

Equipment/Software/Certification/License: MA RN license and BLS.
