POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician, and according to established age-specific guidelines, provides nursing support for general patient care and medical imaging invasive procedures. Performs a wide variety of direct, technical nursing functions for acute, sub-acute, pre- and post-procedure imaging patients in accordance with the standard of care and physician orders. Collects and records patient data on a patient’s chart, prepares patients for medical imaging procedures and monitors the patient’s condition during the procedure and recovery period. Patients observe, records and report significant symptoms, pertinent information, reactions and changes in the patient’s condition.

  1. Two years experience in invasive radiology or five years experience in general nursing.
  2. Current Texas RN License.
  3. A current Basic Life Support (CPR) American Red Cross or American Heart
  4. Graduation from an approved/accredited School of Nursing is required.
