Position Summary:
The Cath Lab RN provides professonal nursing care with respect to the patient /guests expectations, cultural, spiritual and age specific individual needs as it relates to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in compliance with the philosophy of the facility, standards of practice and regulations of governing bodies. Requires commitment "on call" assignments. Must be onsite within 30 mins. of called in.

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):

  1. Current/Active Florida Registered Nurse License (RN) OR Approved Multi-State License
  2. Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree
  3. American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR (BLS)
  4. American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Licensure/Certification/Education (Preferred):
List any license, certification or education preferred for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)
  1. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  2. Education 4: Bachelor's Degree
Specialized Skills (Required):
List the minimum specific knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job (e.g., homecare exp., med/surg exp., basic accounting principles/practices, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)
  1. Dysrhythmia recognition
  2. Understanding of Hemodynamics
  3. Understanding of Radiation Safety
  4. Understanding of AORN Standards
  5. Hemodynamic support devices
  6. Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Proper body mechanics
  8. Moderate sedation
  9. Advanced EKG for EP RNs
  10. Ablation and mapping skills for EP nurses
  11. Scrub cases if trained or RCIS
Specialized Skills (Preferred):
List any preferred knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job.
  1. Experience in PACU or critical care
