Summary: Utilizes all aspects of the nursing process in the OPSU/ENDO setting. The mission, vision, policies/procedures as well as the Nurse Practice Act, govern their practice. Planning for age specific needs will occur as it is related to each procedure.
- Application of all aspects of Nursing Process.
- Proficient at peripheral IV insertions, or other implanted devices.
- Assess the physiological/psychological health status of the patient (age specific) to patient population.
- Always promotes patient safety.
- Assists physician with procedures on unit.
- Reports directly to Sr. Director.
- Administer drugs and IV according to Hospital Policy.
