Responsible to Nursing Services for supporting the nursing philosophy and providing high quality, comprehensive patient care.⯠Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Salary Range: $31.00 - $37.51

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.â¯â¯

  • Current Ohio license as a registered nurse by the Ohio Board of Nursing required. â¯â¯

  • Current BLS is required.â¯ACLS required to perform job duties once off orientationâ¯

  • Previous experience as an RN preferred.â¯â¯

  • Specific areas require specific qualifications and must meet required skills for unit specific addendum.â¯

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Performs as a team leader of multi-skilled workers to accomplish plan of care for each patient.â¯

  • Leads multi-skilled team to provide high quality, cost effective, comprehensive patient care.â¯

  • Independently, makes sound judgments and effective decisions relative to patient care.â¯Performs all skills on the Registered Nurse Equipment/Skills checklist.â¯

  • Assesses patient status and need for diagnostic testing. Completes surgery/anesthesia screen to identify patients at risk.â¯Communicates pertinent findings to appropriate physician forâ¯follow-up.

  • â¯Effectively interprets and communicates abnormalâ¯testing results with anesthesiologist, surgeon and/or PCP. Maintains knowledge base of frequently ordered diagnosticâ¯tests and the significance of abnormal results.

  • Maintains knowledge of current practice standards andâ¯the significance on the surgical/anesthesia procedureâ¯patient.

  • Assesses and educates patients to properly prepare for surgeryâ¯and discharge.â¯Coordinates with the operating room and radiology specialâ¯procedures to have patients ready in a timely manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.â¯
