Summary:

Responsible to the hospital for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to the Nursing Services for providing comprehensive, cost effective, therapeutic activities to mental health patients. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business or health care field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Residency Coordinator Preferred.
  • Previous experience with office equipment and secretarial duties preferred.
  • Requires 4 years’ experience on this or related jobs in a hospital or healthcare facility.
  • After orientation, up to 12 month’s experience eon this job is required to perform essential functions and to handle emergency situations.

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Ensures marketing materials are available to recruit medical students for our residency programs.
  • Creates social media (website, Facebook, Twitter) presence for recruitment and aids in response to inquiries.
  • Seeks qualified applicants and encourage applicants to further investigate residency opportunities at WRHE.
  • Works with Program Director to coordinate all aspects of recruitment and orientation.
  • Works with Program Director to coordinate and establish a Rhinology Fellowship curriculum for residents with both in-house and outside physicians to meet fellowship requirements.
  • Works in liaison with Department of Surgery and affiliated hospitals to enhance the educational image of WRHE.
  • Ensures documentation for fellowship is accurate and complete including the fellowship database, New Innovations Residency Management database, procedure logs, duty hour logs, evaluation forms, tracking forms, letters of recommendation, etc.
  • Prepares documentation for fellowship program by capturing all statistics from patient care totals, monthly rotations, faculty qualifications and evaluations.
  • Assists Program Director in completing annual program evaluation (APE).
  • Coordinates all activities related to WRHE’s Undergraduate Medical Education Program.
  • Creates a student handbook and updates it as necessary.
  • Recruits new faculty to teach medical students.
  • Coordinates medical student orientation to respective hospital and core rotations.
  • Coordinates undergraduate student placement and evaluations.
  • Coordinates students schedule and relevant lectures/meetings.
  • Coordinates student’s evaluations and grade reports to respective medical school.
  • Coordinates payments to faculty.
  • Assists WRHE with day-to-day operations including room scheduling, continuing education registration, record management, communication and office management.
  • Assists with special events planning.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
