POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services and the direct supervision of the Department Manager, the

Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory services to patients in accordance with accepted respiratory practices and established

Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

1. To qualify for this position, the candidate must be certified or eligible for registration through the National Board of

Respiratory Care.

2. Candidates must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

3. Certification per unit specific competency (i.e. BLS, CPI, etc.).
