Position Title: Respiratory Therapist RRT

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing cardiopulmonary (noninvasive and respiratory care) care services in accordance with physician orders, department policies and procedures
  • Facilitate work assignments, evaluations and quality of services, patient assessment and therapeutic recommendation

Requirements:

  • The Highest education level, minimum High School diploma or equivalent
  • This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Employees in this position will be required to provide adequate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 by an FDA-approved vaccine prior to starting work. Steward will consider requests for exemptions from this vaccine requirement on the basis of medical condition or sincerely held religious belief in accordance with applicable Federal laws.
  • Per Diem staff must provide a minimum availability of one shift per week with one of those being a weekend shift (Saturday/Sunday) within a six week period.
  • Current state Respiratory Therapist license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services

Preferences:

  • Ability to use ABC machine, ventilators, IPPB, EKG, bedside PF screeners
  • Ability to perform chest PT
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
