About Mountain Vista Medical Center
Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and women’s services. Florence Hospital, a campus of Mountain View Medical Center, is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency care, as well as surgical, imaging and laboratory services to residents of Pinal County. Our patients have access to a full range of excellent health care across our two campuses.
The position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the risk management program, including the identification, evaluation, and treatment of risk in the organization along with medical record audits with data abstraction functions related to mortality, Physician Peer Review, Initial Investigative Reports, and special projects as assigned by the Director Quality/Risk, Performance Improvement (PI) team participation, development/preparation/completion of reports. Assists the Director of Quality and Safety and Manager of Accreditation/Regulatory Readiness and Patient Safety with the implementation of the System-wide Quality and Safety Plan consistent with board approved plans and regulatory and standard setting agencies. Will also develop and manage a systematic process to identify, assess, and treat actual and potential exposures to loss.
A degree in Business, administration, economics, finance, or a related field required.
Registered Nurse in good standing with the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
Two to five years’ experience within a hospital risk management with a focus on patient safety, risk management or quality improvement.
MS or JD. Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), highly preferred
