Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

About the Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:30 - 4:30 - On-call will be required
About the Position:

Responsible for the functions and activities of Radiology nursing, within Odessa Regional Medical Center. In addition to performing the nursing duties within Radiology, the incumbent is responsible for: daily oversight of the nursing staff and IR clerical support staff within Radiology, ensures efficient workflow, adequate staffing and coordinates nursing needs; evaluates the quality of patient care provided by Radiology nursing, technical, and support personnel through direct observation, staff adherence to policies, procedures and standards of practice and through peer input; participates in human resource function for Radiology nursing, technical, and support staff to include interviews, hiring, schedules, and with director, performance evaluation, performance re-instruction and/or termination. Other duties include: development of educational materials for patients and families, active participation on Nursing committees and teams, as necessary training of technical staff in venipuncture and IV contrast administration. May rotate to the cath lab and participate in that teams call and holiday rotation. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent;
  • Associates Degree in the Applied Science of Nursing (Bachelors Degree preferred)
  • Current Registered Nursing Licensure in the State of Texas
  • Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
  • Chest Pain Education
  • Recommended Stroke Education
