RN - Special Procedures/Radiology
Under the general supervision of the Radiologist & Director of Radiology, the Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care, Insertions of PICC Lines and related assistance to patients admitted for any radiology procedure. Provides professional nursing care within the Radiology department, coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides assistance to the radiologist and physicians during special procedures. Assist in all areas of the Department of Radiology. The Special Procedures Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients that are under the direction of the Radiologist and other medical staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital. Supports Cath Lab on PRN basis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current RN Licensure in Texas
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred
- Previous clinical nursing experience in provision of Radiology/Special Procedure nursing preferred
- Experience with Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters and Peripheral Venous Access preferred
- Current CPR
- ACLS within ninety (90) days from hire
