Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and women’s services. Florence Hospital, a campus of Mountain View Medical Center, is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency care, as well as surgical, imaging and laboratory services to residents of Pinal County. Position Summary
Under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager/Coordinator, The Trauma RN produces and analyzes trends of data and provider specific profiles. Maintains Trauma Performance Improvement database. Responsible for issue identification and issue validation. Concurrent review of trauma cases. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination, implementation, monitoring, analyzing and ongoing evaluation of the trauma program as well as education of all parties involved in the care coordination. This person will follow each patient through their care and treatment to assure satisfaction. Maintains case review summaries and updates concurrently.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience
1- 5 years acute care experience required.
Trauma, ER, ICU
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
TNCC and/or ATCN.
Required License/certification
Licensed RN in the State of Arizona. See Steward License/Certification grid for current certification requirements. Continuing education annually on Trauma related topics required (minimum of sixteen (16) hours).
Required SKILL SET
Current clinical knowledge in surgery and/or trauma specific surgery. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize and organize work.
Knowledge of data analysis and performance improvement.
Must possess excellent oral and written communications and public speaking skills. Intermediate computer skills.
Ability to adapt to change and manage time. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment in the completion of assignments and duties. Ability to speak and write English language fluently. Trauma Team Requirements as assigned.
