Schedule: 24 Hours, Flex

Position Summary: The Ambulatory Surgery RN provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Ambulatory Surgery RN incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision and values into nursing practice at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in ambulatory clinic settings in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance within the scope of the RN as defined by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.

Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field preferred. Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required.

Experience: Requires 1-2 years previous Ambulatory Surgery RN experience or 1-2 years Critical Care Unit RN experience.

Certification/Licensure: Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Software/Hardware: Meditech
