Full time 40 Hours per week
Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Medical Sonography. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree desired. Must hold a valid registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 40 pounds of force frequently by reaching, pulling and/or pushing frequently to manipulate patients from stretchers and/or wheelchairs. Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally by reaching, pulling and/or pushing equipment. Frequently reaches above head to manipulate equipment. Occasionally bending to lift objects. Prolonged standing/walking.
Creates and maintains monthly department staff schedule. Confers with peers to coordinate shared employee schedules. Creates and maintains daily suite assignments.
Participates in all levels of personnel process, including candidate interviews and recommendations for hire; assists with employee transfers, promotions, disciplinary process and terminations.
Creates and maintains employee departmental records containing CEU file, Competency File, documentation from counseling sessions and disciplinary action, and achievements.
Creates, maintains and provides structured Competency Program on all new and transferred employees. Coordinates RIS (Meditech) training with RIS Coordinator. Documents activity and progress on competency forms. Assists employee in learning and adjusting to work environment in a positive fashion.
Ensures that all emergency exams are completed as soon as possible and radiologists’ preliminary report forms are provided to the Emergency Department, or ordering unit
