KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the reconciliation of all Bank Reconciliations assigned and collaborate with Corporate accounting and other departments staff on a monthly basis,
  • Coordinate with the Corporate accounting team to deliver accurate Corporate department P&L’s on a monthly basis.
  • Closely interact with Hospital Accounting, SMG, SHCN, A/R and A/P groups to identify areas of operational and accounting efficiencies.
  • Work with Director of Financial Reporting and Corporate Controller to shorten month end close cycle while maintaining accurate statements.
  • Communicate with Director of AP to streamline AP accounting procedures and ensure accurate reporting
  • Leverage data modeling technology to derive entries needed to close each monthly period and perform variance analysis and reconciliations between subledgers, general ledgers and perform trend analysis at the consolidated financial statement level.
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of programs, procedures for improved financial and accounting operations, propose modifications and/or implementation of newly approved procedures.
  • Complete other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES:


Minimum 2-5 years of experience in cash reconciliations, or equivalent experience, including 2 years in a Senior Accounting role.

Experience in Corporate Accounting within the healthcare field preferred.

Moderate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office (with a heavy emphasis in advanced excel skills).

Experience with at least one data modeling tool such as Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.

Proven track record of leading projects or identifying opportunities for process improvements and presenting the identified solutions to management is a plus. Experience in a High Volume/Multi-Location experience highly recommended.

Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail, be a self-starter, and learn at a fast pace through hands-on assignments, recorded working sessions and reading standard operating procedures & policies.

Demonstrated ability to manage upwardly by keeping leadership apprised of foreseen obstacles. This ensures management has as much lead time as possible to react to and/or mitigate issue(s).

Desire to advance within the organization and take on new responsibilities and additional training.
