Mammography Technologist will perform screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures as well as bone densitometry and may also encompass the responsibilities of a Radiography Technologist. Responsible for performing all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual. Optimally perform all technical procedures associated within respective modalities, and assists in imaging procedures as directed by the radiologist as well as perform complicated intravenous and intramuscular injections as required by modality and in accordance with HWPs
The Technologist must have excellent assessment skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge. Must be able to must be able to move patients and equipment. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.
- Documented training and experience in MRI preferred
- Current BLS Certification
- Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license
- Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Mammography license; and
- Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation
- Current ARRT registered certification in Mammography with RT(M) designation
