Mammography Technologist will perform screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures as well as bone densitometry and may also encompass the responsibilities of a Radiography Technologist; will work under the supervision of the modality supervisory technologist and modality medical director. Technologist will perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual. Meet the technical competency requirements for the position. Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Current BLS certification; and Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license; and Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Mammography license; and Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation; and Current ARRT registered certification in Mammography with RT(M) designation
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to physically position patients
- Ability to correctly use equipment
- Documented training and experience in radiography; Documented training and experience in mammography
