Must have knowledge of all Radiological interventional procedures, catheters, wires, stents, and equipment. Performs all diagnostic examinations including ER, OR, and portable examinations. Technical skills may include advance computer knowledge used in obtaining diagnostic images. Ability to work extended periods standing wearing a lead apron. Good communication and professional ethics are essential. Ability to handle stress and maintain professionalism. Reports and communicates to Nurse Manager of Special Procedures. Medical decisions are directed from the Radiologist and Neurointerventionlist. Trained for and skilled to perform exams on patients of all ages. Access and utilize the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS. Schedule flexibility and on-call.

Additional Information

Position Qualifications:

A.R.R.T. approved program (2 years) preferred

Cardiovascular-Interventional Certification preferred

Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification preferred

Hospital Radiology experience preferred

College A.S. Degree preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of Florida OR

A.R.R.T. Certified OR

Cardiovascular Credentialing International certified.

BLS required from American Heart Association

Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
