This Sr Director will be responsible for AR Collections and Technical Denials operations for all hospitals across the Steward Healthcare enterprise. Government, managed care, commercial, and other financial classes will be included in this leader's oversight. All AR Collections Directors will direct report to the Sr Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide enterprise Revenue Operations leadership to the organization.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly achievement of Revenue Operations key performance indicators.
  • Direct management of Revenue Operations and in-house operations and act as consultant and subject matter expert to outsourced operations.
  • Review and adopt new technologies to improve Revenue Operations and results.
  • Promote collaboration between hospital leadership and shared service professionals.
  • Maintain a culture of compliance and author, gain approvals for, and uphold SHC revenue cycle policies within the operation.
  • Oversees the development, deployment, and direction of complex programs and processes. Lead and implement operational transformational projects at the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Collaborate with other SHC senior leaders to create solutions that effect other teams.
  • Stay current on industry and payer changes that impact the operation. Take timely steps to update systems as needed to stay within guidelines. Knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to billing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent ability to understand and interpret statistical reports and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Knowledge and understanding of insurance claim processing and third-party reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of the principles of Information Systems to effectively analyze and make decisions, ideally familiarity with the Meditech system.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Experience with project management, extensive knowledge of revenue operations within the pillar
  • Extensive process management and process optimization experience
  • Effective analytics creation and interpretation of data
  • Hospital operations experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, One Note, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or MBA preferred
  2. Experience: 10 years progressive management experience within revenue operations
  3. Certification/Licensure: none
  4. Software/Hardware: none
  5. Other: Required to travel throughout Steward locations as needed
  6. Travel: Minimal requirements
