***Staffing Office Coordinator 40hrs/Days and Evenings

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists Nurse Managers and Nursing Supervisors in the coordination and management of staffing and scheduling activities of Patient Care Services nursing staff including Per Diem personnel. Provides a supportive role to the Department Directors, Clinical Nursing Managers and Clinical Nursing Supervisors in meeting the staffing needs of the Nursing Units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately prepares the daily and weekly staffing schedule. Maintains and updates staffing and scheduling lists.
  • Contacts and schedules Per Diem staff to fill unit-staffing needs.
  • Enters all changes from the daily sheets to Ansos.
  • Completes all downloads on the correct days of the week.
  • Completes weekly needs list.
  • Keeps up with new hire information, enters info in the computer, phone list and distribution lists.
  • Monitors fulfillment of Per Diem work commitments.
  • Develops and maintains processes and systems to streamline staffing office function.
  • Develops and maintains census and staffing usage data and information.
  • Communicates all scheduling problems to the Nurse Manager/ Nursing Supervisor.
  • Advises appropriate Nursing management personnel of situations requiring follow-up
