Summary:
Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service. Responsible to Insight Medical Center Trumbull for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Sterile Processing for properly processing medical devices. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a college or technical training program in CRCST required.
- After orientation, up to twelve month’s experience on this job is required to perform essential functions and to handle emergency situations.
- Previous experience as a manager/supervisor preferred.
- Requires two years or more experience on a similar job or jobs with progressively increasing responsibility in this or another hospital or healthcare facility.
- Certification in CRCST by IAHCSMM required or obtained within one year of hire date.
Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
- Establishes and enforces policies and procedures for processing and sterilization of all medical devices.
- Maintains accurate official inventory.
- Provides adequate education for staff by keeping the staff abreast of changes.
- Assures staff follows national standards and recommended practices throughout the medical device procedure.
- Collects and monitors department data.
- Selects qualified competent department staff to provide quality services.
- Completes performance appraisals on time based on policy.
- Recommends operating and capital budgets and monitors allocation of resources
- Meets standards of compliance of accreditation and regulatory bodies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
