Position Summary:
Acts as a resource for other technologists particularly with difficult or challenging cases. Performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, maintains tight control of cost with regards to equipment, supplies, and man hours. Utilizes initiative and independent judgment and oversees overall operation of Radiology. Maintains and orders supplies for department. Completes performance appraisals and yearly competencies on their staff. Maintains policy and procedure manual, as well as a protocol book for the area. Also other duties as assigned.

Note: This position is weekend exclusive with shift differentials. Schedule is Fri, Sat & Sun 6:30p-7a.

  1. American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR (BLS)
  2. Current/Active Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  3. Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree
  4. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Licensure/Certification/Education (Preferred):
List any license, certification or education preferred for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)
  1. Education 4: Bachelor's Degree
Specialized Skills (Required):
List the minimum specific knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job (e.g., homecare exp., med/surg exp., basic accounting principles/practices, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)
  1. Ability to acquire high resolution images utilizing Radiographic equipment
  2. Ability to oversee staff and department requirements
  3. Proficient in PACs
  4. Proficient in HIS/RIS
  5. Proficient in Transcription System
  6. Proficient in Payroll system
  7. Proficient in Education System
  8. Proficient in Supply Ordering
