About ORMC:
Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 by 14 obstetricians, pediatricians, and family practitioners as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Hospital in 1995.
In June 2007, Odessa Regional Hospital purchased Alliance Hospital and changed its name to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. In 2015, ORMC acquired Basin Healthcare Center. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.
Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care
About the Position:
Responsible for maintaining staffing schedules and be available to work, if needed, for staffing shortages and call-ins.
Responsible for all departmental testing including proficiency samples.
Responsible for performance improvement, education, ordering of supplies, and any other duties required by the respiratory department.
Maintains respiratory records, performs or oversees maintenance procedures. Follows respiratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Respiratory.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Provides service to age range from Neonate to GeriatricRegulatory
About what you Need:
Requirements: Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. Either:
Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
Must be able to perform testing on the blood gas analyzers
Current certification in BLS (American Heart Association CPR)
Preferred 5 years experience in appropriate departments.
Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additionally languages preferred.
What Basic computer knowledge required:
Must be able to operate the following equipment correctly and safely: ventilators, bipap, blood gas analyzers, pft machine; and all other respiratory equipment not listed.
