Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
In collaboration with Anesthesia and the Clinical Surgical Services Manager the Board Runner coordinates the daily surgical
schedule according to the number of scheduled operating rooms, the number of scheduled Anesthesia locations, and the delivery of
pre-operative (Holding Room) and intraoperative patient care. The Board Runner also provides direction to Licensed Vocational
Nurses, Certified Scrub Technologists, non licensed nursing personnel and Registered Nurses in providing quality patient care. The
Board Runner ensures that services in the unit are performed in accordance with the standards and mission of the facility.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
1. Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
2. Previous clinical nursing experience in provision of care within the assigned unit of service.
3. Current verification of competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation to include pediatric resuscitation.
