Responsible for organizing all instruments and supplies in our Operating Room, while maintaining sterility. This vital role helps meet the needs of the surgeon and other operating room staff. Working in a team to organize the case load. Responsible for cleaning and ensuring all instruments functions properly.

WAGE: $22.97/hr. - $29.86/hr. COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, along with annual increases

TRAINING: We have a wonderful training program for all of our Surgical Techs and are therefore able to welcome new grads as well as experienced individuals. The training program is up to 12 weeks of on-the-job training, under direct supervision to help you along in your career here at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.


  • Completion/graduate of a college or technical training program in surgical technology is required
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Tech preferred.


  1. Maintains clinical competence and enough job knowledge to perform the functions of a Surgical Technician.
  2. Practices aseptic technique as per O.R. standards; maintains the sterile field.
  3. Assists surgeons throughout procedures by appropriately passing instruments and supplies. Complies with other requests from the surgical team.
  4. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  5. Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, nursing management, and other departments.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
