POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs all aspects of Ultrasound Examinations with a high level of competence and professionalism to all types of patients regardless of age, under the direct supervision of the Radiologist. All facets of Ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, carotid, vascular and small parts. This position ensures that accurate and complete documentation and communication with Radiologist regarding clinical history and direct observation from all technical personnel. Must demonstrate good organizational skills in order to maintain efficient work flow and adaptability in accommodating emergency and add-on exams. Required to participate in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
- Graduate of an approved Program of Ultrasonography
- ARDMS (AB) and/or (OB/GYN) required
- Credentialing in ARDMS (RVT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International(RVS) required within 89 days of employment
- Current BLS Certification required
