Diagnostic Imaging department in Ayer, MA is looking for a Per-Diem Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is professional, polite, dependable, and punctual, is able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
You must be a person who is organized and pays attention to details, be able to communicate well and be a team player; you must be able to work independently, efficiently and effectively.
Sonographer will perform general ultrasound examinations and will assist Radiologist with interventional procedures as needed.
The successful candidate will be adhere to the standard time allotments for each type of US exam in order to maintain the efficient flow of patients during the course of the scheduled day and allow for emergency’s. Responsible for maintaining departmental standards in accordance with policies and procedures; assessing patient's information and status; demonstrating skill in equipment, utilization and proper maintenance; operating information systems and PACS, plus all related job duties as assigned.
Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic procedures to ensure the production of quality images of all anatomical structures for interpretation by Radiologist.
Must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and would prefer Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or RVT eligible. 1-2 years experience preferred. Current BLS certification.
