Position Summary:

Assists in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Responsible for providing secretarial support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit. Maintains and updates patient’s records for a given unit. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):

• Education: High School Graduate/Equivalent
