Under the general direction of the Director of Physical Therapy, the Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive secretarial support to the Director of Physical Therapy. Must demonstrate proficient communication, organizational, computer and work management skills. Will handle some responsibility without direct supervision and make decisions within designated authority. Must be able to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions. Must have a pleasant personality and ability to interact effectively with upper management, medical staff, nursing, and ancillary employees. Must be cheerful, tactful, courteous, and be able to meet the public. Must be able to adhere to confidentiality requirements of working within administration and medical staff. All other duties as assigned.
Regulatory/Education/Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Course work in Typing, Stenography, Business English and Business machines preferred. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Assists Director in all aspects of administrative duties.
• Safeguards confidentiality of Administrative Office/Board of Trustee/Medical Staff office, records, information/issues.
• Monitor progress according to the schedule of contract completions to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner.
• Utilize Excel Spreadsheets, Access Databases and computer listings to identify, update and track status of contracts, closeouts and non-compliant contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
