EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent.
SKILLS: The Unit Secretary must possess effective oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities. Computer experience helpful. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Experience in a health care setting preferred. Able to work in a fast pace environment. National Association of Health Unit Coordinators Certification preferred.
SCOPE OF POSITION: The Unit Secretary functions under the supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee. The Unit Secretary is responsible for receptionist services and non-clinical tasks to support the overall function of the patient care team.
