Vocational Program Assistant - Part Time

Responsible to STEWARD HEALTH CARE SYSTEM for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Vocational Rehabilitation for assisting in the daily operation of all vocational programs. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES
- Forward referrals and occasionally coordinates services for clients within hospital departments according to the client’s treatment plan.
- Maintains client medical records and processes bills for services.
- Orders and inventories all department supplies.
- Provides individual instruction and direction to clients.
- Administers and scores standardized testing given to Vocational Services clients under direction of program staff and oversees situational assessment and work adjustment clerical clientele.
- Establishes and maintains program evaluation and quality improvement databases as they relate to consumer data accumulation, environmental surveys, productivity standards and departmental goals.
- Edits payroll.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in behavioral sciences or a related field or a high school graduate or GED. Preferred one year of employment in a social service center with experience in the administration and scoring of academic, aptitude, and career tests and work samples required. Computer proficiency relative to Microsoft Office for database design and management.
